Handmade mahogany Mancala board, with real geranium and Fern leaves shabby chic cottagecore goblincore unique nature
This board is of a batch made in Spring 2024 (see my other listings for variations) . It is made from restored mahogany wood, with Autumnal coloured glass counters, featuring preserved geranium leaves that have been lacquered with Britetone sealer (an environmentally friendly alternative to resin) and the outer board features preserved Polypody Fern leaves under a matte satin finish.
It is important to note that as with all things in nature; the leaves will change colour over time. Each leaf ages in a completely unique way, some turn a deep sepia, some a faded pastel, some even turn in to a nebula of different hues. This process can begin over months or years depending on how the board is stored, to delay the change in colours: keep away from UV light and humidity.
This board is imperfect owing to slight irregularity in the upper finish. Its a Restored handmade piece from the 70’s and as such does have some maker marks and signs of its age. This does not affect the functionality of the board.
